When our CEO broke out the news in the dinner, I was not paying much attention to it because the gifts had blinded my eyes and also thinking it was a normal case. However when I watched the tsunami videos on the next day then only realized the world battle had just begun.
The unexpected natural disaster hit the land in split second without any sign of early warning causing many Japanese to lose their home and worst their family members. I was astonished and at the same time felt helpless whenever this thought of this disaster would hit us.
Few days later my company embarked a fund raising campaign to help Japan. For every fund we donate my company will match donations made by the company employees worldwide. This means that for every RM1 we donate, Regional will also donate RM1. Therefore, if we have made any donations towards Japan Earthquake fund through other organisation, we can also provide a copy of the donation receipt to the company. I thought this was a good act therefore I didn't hesitate much and donated my part on the first day itself.
When my babe said she would come to save me in Tsunami is one of the most wonderful thing I have ever heard in my entire life but I need to give her more swimming lesson first.
My deepest thoughts and prayers go to the Japanese. Hope they would recover soon.
